The 15th National Assembly (NA) passed a resolution approving the Prime Minister’s proposal on the appointment of Dang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ha Giang province, as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment at its fifth session in Hanoi on May 22.

According to the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), Vietnam is likely to attract USD 36-38 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2023. The figure was nearly USD 22.4 billion in 2022.

Based on the current legal framework, the Institute for Policy Studies and Media Development (IPS) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has recently conducted a review to evaluate the personal data and privacy protection practices on e-government portals and e-service portals of all 63 provinces as well as apps being put into use by 50 provinces.[1] Two dimensions were assessed: (i) privacy policies issued by local governments; and, (ii) specific measures to implement such policies through technical tools.
